Archways Podiatrist Louise Stores is the owner/ proprietor of Archways Podiatry, and also member of the Royal College of Podiatry , and has 36 years in the NHS experience, and has been qualified 40 years this year !
Louise is a keen hiker, Vegan, and likes to take part in Zumba classes .Sue is also a member of her local Gym to kerp healthy & fit. Her Marple clinic is so close to the Peak District where she goes regularly to walk around all her favourite spots such as Lantern Pike, Cown and Coombes Edge, Kinder, Edale, Hathersage, Bamford, Glossop and many other beautiful areas in Derbyshire & Cheshire.
Louise left the NHS in 2020 after 36 years in 2020 to develop her own clinic in Podiatry Clinic in Marple, using all her expertise to provide the following treatments.
Specialist care for patients with foot and ankle pain in conditions such as arthritis, including rheumatoid, fibromyalgia, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ball of the foot pain ( metatarsalgia) big toe joint pain (hallux limitus) and bunions.
Routine podiatry treatments, corns, callus, creaked heels, blisters, sweaty feet, foot odours, hard dry scaly skin conditions, thickened, fungal and ingrowing toe nail conditions.
Louise also specialises in the following treatments
- Biomechanical Assessment :- This involves an examination of the lower limb function, looking at their structure, alignment, strengths and weaknesses , checking for any abnormalities that may be causing you pain or discomfort, which may be having an impact to your day-to-day life.
- Paediatric podiatry treating many common conditions that affect growing children including gait anomalies, developmental flat foot, foot pain, knee and hip pain.
- Fabricating semi-bespoke orthotics on site, tailored to your needs, using over 35 years experience in orthotic/ insole provision.
- Fungal nail treatment, fenestration, reduction & removal of the nail plate. Fungal nails are the most difficult to treat because the active infection is beneath the nail plate and most treatments do not penetrate directly to the infection or are not an actual anti-fungal medicament.
- Fungal Nail Testing, taking nail clippings and sent off directly to the microbiology laboratory for the results, for the best evidence based treatments.
- Louise being a keen hiker, living so close to the Peak District, providing walking tips on footwear, socks, prevention of walking injuries and foot pain. She also provides a wide range of socks for various activities, and medical conditions.
